Call to Action!

Dear OSSPEAC Members,

We hope you had the opportunity to vote last Tuesday. Now that the elections are finished, a lame duck session will begin in which bills are reviewed and voted on before the new term begins in January.

We need your voice now! Please write a letter (or a second letter if you sent one in the past) to your legislatures in support of passing SB 356 to extend the eligibility for Developmental Delay through age 9 in Ohio. This will bring Ohio state guidelines in line with the current federal guidelines. Our goal is to have letters to legislatures NOW so as the session starts, your letter is on their desks, this bill is fresh in their minds, and they know their constituents (us) are in support of it passing. Your word as a communication professional is especially meaningful.

Attached is a sample letter that you can tweak to personalize. Below are links for you to find your legislatures’ contacts. SAMPLE LETTER

Thanks so much for your help with this! Please forward this email to others who can help too. Hopefully we’ll be celebrating the passing of SB 356 soon.

Sincerely,

OSSPEAC Government Affairs Coalition
